CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Fun Shapes

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is fun shaped cards, not the traditional rectangle! This was a fun one to do, because I reached waaaay back (ten years!) and revisited the folded star I made back then. There's even a tutorial and video for it that I'll share in a couple days. 😊

While I was playing around with it I discovered that our Stitched Triangles fit, but I ended up not using them on this card. But there's an idea for you to pursue when you make this folded star! You aren't going to believe how simple it is to make.

I did have a hard time getting good photos because it won't stand up in an easel, and the Pool Party is so subtle it's hard to get it to show up. I used a Blending Brush to add the color to the checked side of the DSP, and left the side with the shiny silver stars alone. One thing to note: When adding the decorations/embellishments, make sure to adhere them to just one of the flaps, otherwise the card won't open!

OOPS! Took the photo before adding the inside liner.😁

That's all I have for today. Click the Next button to jump over to Libby Fens at Libby Stamps, or the Back button to see what Mary Brown at Stamper Camper's Corner has made!
