squeeze (someone) tightly in one's arms, typically to express affection.
I'm a hugger, and this pandemic has put a serious crimp in me being able to express my affection for others. The next best thing I can think of is to send a paper hug, though it's not nearly as soul-satisfying as the real thing.
But, on the bright side, it gives me an excuse (like I needed one, LOL) to make and send cards to people to let them know I love 'em. And I love them a lot if I'm fussy cutting flowers for them!
