Stamp Review Crew - Knit Together

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Knit Together edition! The "Crew" is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Charlet's blog, welcome! There are four of us today, so the hop won't take too long.

The Knit Together background stamp measures 4-1/2" x 5-5/8", so it will cover an entire A2 card front, as shown on my first card. Because it is a background stamp, it pairs beautifully with many of our other stamp sets, and on this card it is combined with Biggest Wish.

I wanted to do some "simple stamping" using just stamps, ink, and paper. It's not something I do often because I love lots of layers and textures and die cuts and embellishments. But this is a great card for someone just starting out stamping who doesn't have all the fancy tools (yet). 😁

Yellow and black are a striking combination, and I didn't even use any bling - just a bit of ribbon!

The knit image makes me think of warm sweaters, chilly Fall evenings, and cozy blankets so this next card features a patchwork in Fall colors. I used sponge daubers to ink different sections of the stamp so I only had to stamp once and then cut the different sections into 1-1/2" squares.

The greeting banner from Hello Harvest was stamped on Basic White on which I had buffed a little Pale Papaya onto in an ombre look. The leaves were stamped in Old Olive, Cajun Craze, and Mango Melody stamping full strength once and then again without re-inking the stamp. Love the different shades of color!

And for the last card we move from Fall to Winter, pairing Knit Together with Celebrate With Tags. Knit mittens, right?! I chose the cool combination of Fresh Freesia and Coastal Cabana because they're the colors you can see in the Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels, and the Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels. And even in the Iridescent Trim holding the mittens together! Unfortunately, they didn't photograph as well as the brighter Fall colors, so please take my word that this looks better in real life.

I started by heat embossing the Knit Together in white, then using Blending Brushes to add the color to the background. The mittens were stamped and die cut, along with the Coastal Cabana circles (all in the Celebrations Tag Dies) They were then popped up on dimensionals and the appropriate amount of sparkle was added. *grin*

CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Pumpkin Spice Season!

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is all about pumpkins, so I grabbed the Hello Harvest bundle and set to work!

The pumpkin and floral images are such a joy to color. I stamped the pumpkin on Pale Papaya using Soft Suede ink, then colored it with Pumpkin Pie Blends. The flowers were stamped on Basic White (also in Soft Suede), and colored with Poppy, Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Blends.

I really love the textural background die in the Chic Dies set and used Gold Foil for the background. It was just the right amount of shiny goodness, so the card didn't even need any embellishments!

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori at Loritamarie Crafts.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Falling for Fall

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is Fall! Autumn arrived day before yesterday and it's like someone flipped a switch; this morning it was 46 degrees and it only got to the mid 70s today! I loooove the cooler weather, and the leaves turning, and all the beautiful fall decorations. I guess you could say I'm rather fond of autumn, so that's the stamp set I'm using today. 😁

I started by embossing the background (3-3/4" x 5" Very Vanilla Thick) with the Leaf Fall 3D folder, then added Mango Melody with a Blending Brush.

The image was stamped twice so I could use extra berry clusters. (I'll use the unused bits another time.) I think the Blackberry Bliss berries are a nice complement to the autumn colors of the oak leaves. A big metallic ribbon bow and brushed metallic dots added a little more texture.
