CSF Saturday Hop - Unmasked

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is using masks or dies as a mask on our card. I chose the decorative Trees bundle for this card because the open tree die made a perfect mask.

I cut the mask out of the center of a piece of Basic White and saved the cut out piece to mask off the background trees so they wouldn't overlap the main tree. After blending the Shaded Spruce trees onto the 3 3/4" x 5" Soft Sea Foam with a Blending Brush (and stamping the stars), I ran it through the SCEM with the So Swirly embossing folder. A 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" mat was adhered to the back and it was attached to the Basic White card base.

I just love the detailed dies that are part of this bundle. It was hard to choose which one to use for the gold foil accent, but ultimately I thought the simple swirls would look best on the swirly embossed background.
