CSF Saturday Hop - Forever Love

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is weddings or anniversaries. Perfect timing because our 49th anniversary is a week from today and I needed to make something for my honey.

He's not one for a lot of fancy, glittery frou frou stuff (opposites attract, right?), so I tried to keep it simple. My hand kept reaching for the shiny stuff, and I had to keep smacking it away, lol. *sigh* I'm just going to have to be content with lots of texture, and no bling.

Thursday Challenge - CSF821

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is a fun sketch. I like the angled bits and first thought of using DSP. Then I thought - why not something textured instead, and let the Magnolia be the centerpiece? This is this week's sketch:

I haven't used Very Vanilla in a long time, and it pairs so beautifully with gold. All I needed to do was figure out the color of the greeting panel. After trying various colors: some too light, some too dark, some just not right with Very Vanilla, I finally settled on Lost Lagoon.

The magnolia is adhered to the Lost Lagoon piece and then the whole thing is popped up on dimensionals. A few Blooming Pearls finished it off.
