CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Easter Favor

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is Easter Favors. I saw an adorable little basket that is quick and easy to make, and can be scaled up or down to suit. Thank goodness Mom is visiting, because she brought Hershey Chocolate Eggs. I wouldn't have had anything to put in the basket for the photos since we don't have anything with sugar in the house, LOL. Thanks, Mom! (Now take it home, please!!!)

This basket uses a 6" x 6" piece of DSP, so you can use the 6" x 6" DSP packs or get four baskets out of one sheet of 12" x 12" DSP. If making a larger basket, you can use a square of cardstock for a sturdier base and decorate with DSP.

Score the six inch square at 2" and 4". Rotate 90 degrees and score at 2" and 4". Fold on all scorelines. Cut two 3/8" x 6 inch strips of cardstock and use the scalloped edge die on both. Glue scallops to opposite sides of the DSP. Cut scorelines up to line from the unscalloped sides, as shown below.

Fold the basket sides up and adhere with glue. Cut a 1/2" x 6" strip of cardstock for the handle. Decorate as desired!

CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Easter Cards

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is Easter, and I fell in love with the adorable little duckling in the Easter Friends set, so I just had to make a card with it!

I cut the So Saffron plaid background with the Basic Borders die and adhered it to the Basic White base.  The duckling was stamped in Basic Gray ink and die cut with the Encircled In Beauty die (which is retiring when the current annual catalog ends). After coloring the duckling, it was adhered with dimensionals.

A sheer Pool Party bow and some Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels (jewels available until May 2, or while supplies last) were added to complete the card.

Stamp Review Crew - Amazing Silhouettes

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's AMAZING SILHOUETTES edition! The "Crew" is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Mike's blog, Stampin-Style, welcome!

The Amazing Silhouettes cling stamp set only has three stamps, but they are so versatile, especially when paired with the Amazing Thanks Dies.

To give you an idea of how easy it is to make a fab card with this bundle, my mom just arrived yesterday for a two week visit. Needless to say, while my house is relatively clean most of the time, it isn't "mom clean", so I was busy deep cleaning all this week, and hadn't time to make my projects.

These two cards were made after Mom went to bed tonight (Sunday night).

So while I didn't have time to write a pithy post, at least I did get two cards made!

That's all I have to share for today, so click "Next" to see what my friend Charlet at Painted Orange  created, or "Previous" to visit Mike again!
