There were two cards designed for last weekend's stamp club that used the gorgeous Joyous Noel Specialty DSP........that is now sold out six weeks before the Holiday catalog ends. BOOOO! I'm really not surprised, though, because it was so beautiful.
We used the Hearts Come Home stamp set, and the coordinating Hometown Greetings Edgelits dies to create this simple card. Usually, if you are going to emboss a card, you would stamp the greeting first, but I did it backward because I needed to see where the bottom score line was for placing the greeting. (If you want to stamp first, make sure the bottom of the greeting is about 3/4" from the bottom of the card.)
After embossing with the Subtle Dynamic folder, we scored lines 1/2" from each side, adhered it to the Merry Merlot mat and then to the card base. The house and trees silhouettes were die cut from a 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" piece of Whisper White and adhered to a 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" piece of Joyous Noel DSP. That was added just above the greeting and a Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper snowflake finished the card. Copper and Merry Merlot look so beautiful together!
