It's a Piece of Cake!

This is the other card we made Saturday. I was inspired by Patty Bennett's coloring and wanted to recreate it on a simple to make card. On a quarter sheet of Whisper White, we stamped the cake and cake plate on the lower right, leaving room for the die cut Stitched Label and Stitched Rectangle greeting. Helpful hint: Use the Cake Builder Punch on a scrap of cardstock and save it in your stamp set as a guide for lining up the stamps - you can get both the cake and the plate stamped at the same time and it will fit the punch perfectly!

We die cut the Stitched Label, then stamped the greeting and used a Rectangle Stitched Framelit to cut it out. The floral cake topper was stamped directly on the label (about 1/8" from the stitches at the top) and colored with Stampin' Blends. After coloring the cake and plate, they were punched and glued under the cake topper.

The Stitched Label was adhered to a Subtle Dynamic embossed piece of Pool Party (3-5/8" x 4-7/8") with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. The whole thing was adhered to the card base and the greeting was popped up on dimensionals, too.

If you don't have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I'd be happy to send you the new catalog - just  contact me!
