CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Spotlight on Vellum

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is spotlighting vellum. Vellum Specialty Paper is so versatile! You can heat emboss it and color (or not) with Stampin' Blends, dry emboss it for subtle texture, or use it to tone down a too bright DSP pattern. For today's project, I used the hot foil system to add the gold to both the vellum and Golden Glow leaves.

A 2 1/2" x 5 1/2" strip of Early Espresso was embossed with the leaves from Seasonal Cheer and a piece of Golden Glow ribbon was added before adhering to the card base. After foiling and die cutting the leaves, they were stacked and adhered on the embossed panel. The greeting was stamped and punched, then popped up on dimensionals.

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori de Groot at Loritamarie Crafts.

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF940

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is a color challenge, with Christmas colors!

The Noel Tidings photopolymer stamp set had everything I needed to create this card. The pine swag was stamped in Peaceful Pine (of course), and the pine cones in Early Espresso. The panel was then embossed with the Softly Woven 3D embossing folder and matted on gold foil.

The "berries" are Iridescent Pearls colored with the Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blend. When coloring embellishments like pearls or rhinestones, be sure to use the smaller bullet tip of the marker!

The greeting was stamped in Peaceful Pine, fussy cut, and adhered to the gold banner, which was popped up on the card.

Measurements

Card base: Cherry Cobbler 4 1/4" x 11", scored/folded at 5 1/2"
Image panel: Basic White 2" x 5 1/8"
Mat: Gold foil 2 1/8" x 5 1/4"
Banner: Gold foil 1" x 3 1/4"

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Flowers For Fall

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is fall flowers, which to me means sunflowers and chrysanthemums.

I used the Sunflowers 3D embossing folder to emboss 4" x 5 1/4" vellum, which was adhered to the card base. A 1 1/8" strip of Sunflower Fields DSP was added to the bottom. A Stampin' Blend was used to draw stripes on the Lost Lagoon cardstock before cutting out the vases. Inked up sponge daubers added a little shading to the die cut flowers and leaves.

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori de Groot at Loritamarie Crafts.
