CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF873

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is this sketch:

I love having a road map to follow when I'm not feeling creative! This one was lots of fun. I knew I wanted to use a floral image and, once again, Pretty Florals had what I needed.

The flower was cut from Strawberry Slush cardstock, and I used a Blending Brush to add Strawberry Slush ink around the edges. The overlay was also cut from Strawberry Slush, and Stampin' Blends were used to darken it so it would stand out more. Leaves are Garden Green.

The DSP is from the same suite collection (page 43 in the annual catalog), and I used the Damask Designs folder to emboss the white panel. Frayed Strawberry Slush Faux Linen Ribbon and Antique Pearls finished the card. The greeting was borrowed from Layers of Beauty.

Measurements

  • Card base: Basic Beige 4-1/4" x 11", scored/folded at 5-1/2"
  • DSP: Florals in Bloom 1-3/4" x 4-7/8"
  • Embossed panel: Basic White 2-1/2" x 3-3/4"

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Fun With Dots

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is Fun With Dots, and I did have fun with these dots!

I started with the Berry Burst background embossed with the Dotted Circles folder. The Petunia Pop banner was stamped with Berry Burst and Petunia Pop, then adhered to the next larger Basic White banner. After adding the ribbon and pearls (more dots!), it was popped up on dimensionals.

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori de Groot at Loritamarie Crafts.

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF872

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge are the lovely purples of Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, and Highland Heather. These colors just beg to be shown off in florals!

The flowers were stamped with Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather, and the greenery in Granny Apple Green, and die cut with the Pretty Florals dies. After die cutting the circle, I blended a little Fresh Freesia on it to highlight the blossoms, then popped them up on the circle.

The Basic White background (4-1/8" x 5-3/8") was embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D folder and adhered to the Fresh Freesia tent-folded card base. A bit of Gold Open Weave Trim was tucked behind the circle, and I used the Light Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blend to color the greeting in the Greetings For All Ephemera Pack (also popped up).
