Thankful, Grateful, Blessed

When we moved to East Tennessee a little over two years ago I had a feeling that, since we would be in a very rural area, I probably wouldn't meet any people with the same addiction passion for card making that I have. Imagine my surprise and delight to discover that I was very wrong about that!

The hardest thing when moving, emotionally, was leaving so many dear friends behind, many who shared my addiction love for making pretty cards, and the wonderful tools, paper, stamps, and ink used to make them. So, on Thanksgiving, I was feeling particularly blessed to have found my "people" here, too! Imagine that!!!

The greeting in Paisleys & Posies couldn't have been more appropriate for this card. The die used isn't from Stampin' Up! - it was a gift from my BFF. It's the Maple Leaf Corner from Simon Says Stamp, and I adore the stitched leaves and vine-y swirl. I noticed as I was water coloring it, that the three larger leaves can even be popped out and used separately!

With the exception of the die cut, everything used is from Stampin' Up! You have to look closely to see the scored frame lines. I couldn't get a good pic of it, unfortunately.
