Christmas Stocking

Today's card uses some of the items available on the Online Extravaganza, which ends tonight! The Christmas Stocking Thinlits Dies are 30% off, the Watercolor Pencils are 20% off, and the Cable Knit Dynamic embossing folder and Metallics Sequin Assortment are both 10% off.

The texture of the embossing folder is so warm and cozy. It makes me think of wearing a thick, warm sweater while cozied up to a fireplace with a mug of hot chocolate.

The watercolor wash was laid down firstby scribbling Bermuda Bay and Old Olive randomly on watercolor paper, then spritzing with water and blending it with an Aqua Painter. While it was still damp (but not sopping wet), I ran it through the Big Shot with the embossing folder.

The greeting is part of the Thinlits set, too, which made putting the card together very quick. I could run everything through in one pass, with the exception of the accent color for the stocking.

It is really, really subtle, but I did add some Clear Wink of Stella to the watercolor paper greeting and stocking accents to glitz the card up a bit, along with the iridescent sequins.

  1. This looks very easy...have you tried embossing first, then coloring? Thanks
