Christmas Crunch Time

It sounds like I'm making some yummy holiday treat, doesn't it? Alas, that's not the case. I'm running out of time to get my Christmas cards finished and in the mail (that last part is crucial, lol). So today I have a simple card that uses one of the retiring sets from the holiday catalog, and it qualifies for two challenges....the Freshly Made Sketches sketch challenge #265, and the CASology cue word "candle."

I think this will be a card that I can produce in multiples pretty quickly. There isn't much coloring to do, and I can die cut the Stitched Shapes Framelit and scalloped circle Framelit in one pass through the Big Shot.

Here's the "How To"
 Image: Shimmery White 3" x 3"
 Mat: Gold Foil 3" x 3"
 Greeting: Shimmery White 1/2" x 3-5/8"
Card base: Whisper White Thick 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored and folded at 4-1/4"
  1. Stamp sunburst (Kinda Eclectic) in Crushed Curry on card front.
  2. Stamp candle (Jar of Cheer) in Basic Black, let dry, and color with blender pens. I used Real Red, Garden Green, and Crushed Curry. Stamp dots in So Saffron. Die cut with second largest Stitched Shapes circle.
  3. Die cut gold foil with third largest scalloped circle die. Adhere image to gold mat. Use dimensionals to adhere image over sunburst on card.
  4. Stamp greeting (Holly Berry Happiness) in Real Red on strip. Cut banner ends. Adhere to card with dimensionals.
See how easy that was? How are YOUR Christmas cards coming along? A hand crafted card is like a hug with a fold in the middle!
