Paper Pumpkin Flash!!!

https://mypaperpumpkin.com/en/?demoid=2054459

I love Paper Pumpkin! It's like Christmas or my birthday every month when that little box arrives in my mailbox, and I'm filled with anticipation about what might be inside! Each month is different, and some months they knock my socks off but occasionally (very rarely) they don't, so I just use the components to make something I DO love. Case in point: Last December was a 2016 desk calendar kit. I really have no use for a desk calendar (no room to write in appointments), and besides, my phone does that for me. But there were really pretty bases for the calendar - twelve of them - that I could use on a card, plus the other decorations included in the kit. So this is one of the cards I made using a greeting from a different P.P. kit:

Last month's Paper Pumpkin was called Many Manly Occasions. I wanted to see how I could change it up and came up with these cards. The first one was made per instructions. The second one I used a sponge brayer and Night of Navy ink to make the greeting darker, and leftover (retired) Corrugated Kraft instead of the corrugated orange in the kit. (Saving that orange for this fall!)

Then I got to thinking about how that die-cut card base reminded me of a trellis, so I got out the new Flourish Thinlits to make a vine, and the May Flower Framelits for some flowers, and came up with this feminine card! (Should have stamped the greeting a tad lower, but it still looks okay.)

The kits contain everything you need to put the projects together, with the exception of scissors (for any twine, ribbon, etc. in the kit) and adhesive. Oh, and an acrylic block for the stamps. If you sign up for Paper Pumpkin through me, and you don't have an acrylic block, I'll send you one, free of charge!

The great thing with this Flash Sale is it's a great way you can try it to see if you like it. It's only $5 for the first kit, and that includes shipping! You can cancel any time or, if you're going on vacation or something, you can suspend a month and then pick right back up when you get back - no worries!

Interested? Click the Paper Pumpkin banner at the top of the page, or THIS LINK. Remember, the sale starts at 5:00 PM (MT) today and ends at 11:50 PM (MT) tomorrow, Friday. And don't forget to use the promo code ONEDAYDEAL!

  1. I love your alternate idea for the May Paper Pumpkin kit. I'm going to make several. I hate to say this but I have absolutely no use for the April or July PP kits. Wish they would just stick to "cardmaking". I'm always looking for alternate ideas since I don't usually like theirs!! Thanks for sharing.

    1. Thanks, Faye! I feel the same way, but I'm sure there are people who open their kits and say "Cards AGAIN?!" As soon as I'm done with my #imbringingbackhappymail challenge, I'm going to work on some cards with that July kit. Thanks for leaving a comment!

  2. I am working on making this card--love it. But it says you used the May Flower thinlits--I don't see that in the catalog--is it an older set?

    1. Oops! I should have said May Flower FRAMELITS. They are on page 194 of the annual catalog (top row). Thanks for the heads up!

  3. I just found the trellis card on Pinterest. I love this idea. I've saved a few of these cards and would love to make your card for friends birthday's. Did you replace the corrugated orange paper with some glitter paper? Such a beautiful idea. Lovely card, good job!

    1. Donna, I DID use Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper instead of the corrugated. Good eye!
