Christmas in May

These are the cards we made in the Christmas Club earlier this week. They are so easy to do, look really elegant, and are mailable without worries that the Post Office will want extra postage for a bulky envelope!

The heat-embossed silver trees really stand out on our Brushed Silver cardstock. I've tried it with gold embossing powder on the Brushed Gold, too, and it looks equally fabulous (if I do say so myself)!

Really loving that new blue In Color called Midnight Muse. Well, ALL the new In Colors are gorgeous, but you know me....I'm a big fan of blue!

Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, Come to Bethlehem (greeting)
Cardstock: Whisper White, Midnight Muse (available June 1st), Brushed Silver
Ink: VersaMark, Midnight Muse (available June 1st)
Accessories: Big Shot, Petals-A-Plenty embossing folder, Embossing Buddy, Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder, Heat Tool, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Frost White Shimmer Paint, Sponge Daubers

  1. Very stunning! I'll have to try embossing the silver on silver. TFS

  2. Oooh, I am already in love with this new blue!! Fantastic with silver too. I just know this is so shimmery in person. Gorgeous!

  3. I love that card. So verry pretty!!

  4. Oooh! I didn't know that would work! I never tire of using this set and now I have another look to use with it.

  5. I love how elegant this is! Is the Frost White Shimmer Paint sponged on the flowers? It must be so shimmery!

  6. Omgosh, this is gorgeous. Although I'm not quite ready to tackle Christmas yet, but way to go :)

  7. Wow! Those are spectacular!! Love the silver on silver embossing, and I'm really liking the new Midnight Muse too!

  8. Oh, wow! Love the embossing on the shiny paper. That is simply gorgeous!

  9. I just found your gorgeous card on my pinterest board and I just love it! So elegant and absolutely stunning. I'd like to CASE your card to try and make it if I have your permission. From the photos, it appears the brushed silver top layer with the trees is textured or is that just Midnight Muse daubed? Also it appears there is a light blue layer between silver and card base though no other card stock is listed. Also, is the Petals-A-Plenty embossing daubed with MN Muse and then a little white shimmer paint on top? Hope you can get back to me with some answers. Thank you for sharing!

    1. Vicki, I'm proabably too late on this reply (family issues), but here are the answers to your questions. First of all, of COURSE you may CASE! The Brushed Silver with the embossed trees is just plain, no daubbing. There are no other colors of cardstock used, just what is listed. And I only daubbed the silver shimmer paint on the Petals-A-Plenty embossed piece.

Thank you for visiting - I'd love to hear from you!
