Tropical Vacation

I'm lovin' me some Calypso Coral! The funny thing is, when I first saw the new In Colors, that was my least favorite color, but now it's moved right up to share top billing with Island Indigo! I guess it's because it is so reminiscent of sunrise/sunset colors. This card is a minor variation on the one posted a week ago.  This time the palm tree stamp is in the current catalog (Plant Hope), and the card base coordinates with the tropical sea color.  Hemp twine tied with square knots adds a nice touch, but I think it needs another palm tree, with a hammock tied between, and an umbrella drink, don't you?

Stampin' Up! obviously planned the new In Colors to compliment their 2013 Grand Vacation - to Fiji! Talk about a tropical paradise!  I'd love to be able to earn this incentive trip. You could earn it, too. If you join my team, we could both be

  1. Very pretty card. Great color choices - love the merging of the sand, water & sky. Interesting use of the twine.

  2. The first thing I thought of was the Fiji trip (and I would love to see you on it!). As usual, you are making me look at another set again!!

  3. Spectacular card!! Love your sea and sky! Hope you earn Fiji!!!

  4. Gorgeous...makes me fell like I'm on vacation just looking at it!

  5. Love your card, especially the details like the speckles in the sand & the knots along the side!

  6. Oh, ya! Can't you just hear that song "It's Five O'clock Somewhere" playing, lol!

  7. Love it. I didn't like that color either--until convention. Now I love it. That card is great inspiration for FIGI!

  8. Love the layers of color for the water, Cindy! I think the hammock and umbrella drink is an awesome idea!

Thank you for visiting - I'd love to hear from you!
