Technique Challenge - Clear Block Stamping

This week's Technique Challenge #64 over at Stampin' Addicts is clear block stamping.  It occurred to Sharon Field, a Stampin' Up demonstrator stamping genius, to use a Clear-Mount Block as a stamp!  The beauty of this is (besides the beautiful background image), the clear acrylic blocks are a snap to wipe clean when you are finished.  You can either ink up the regular way by tapping block on pad, or ink it up and then draw it across the pad for a neat linen look.

See that cute tab peeking out under the bow?  That's a sneak peek at a portion of the new Decorative Label Punch that's in the upcoming new Holiday Mini catalog!  And yes, there will be stamps to match!!!

Stamp: Just Believe (W-116948, C-120453)
Cardstock: Very Vanilla (101650), Soft Suede (115318)
Ink: River Rock Classic (109010), Soft Suede Classic (115657)
Accessories: Shimmer Paint Mist, Very Vanilla 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon (119960), Paper-Piercing Tool (116631), Gold Lame Smooch Accent Ink (119968), Decorative Label Punch (120097, available 9/1), corner rounder

  1. Very pretty, Cindy--and I love the 'sneak peek'!

  2. Love this technique. I have also just learned that you can turn those clear stamps over, stamp a filled in image with a light color, then turn the stamp the correct way and over stamp the image you just stamped. Love how that looks...

I am going to love that punch. I already want it. LOL

  3. Very cool - will have to give this a try!

  4. And what a great way to show this off... Very pretty!

  5. Awesome card! Love the idea to make a shadow background with the acrylic handle!

  6. Very elegant card! Love the rounded corners!

  7. Oh my goodness... how did I miss this technique... love this card it is so neat!

  8. I love the way you stamped more than one block, and the way you used the new label punch!

Thank you for visiting - I'd love to hear from you!
