Wow, 34 Years!

Monday my husband and I celebrated our 34th anniversary. Yeah, I know - hard to believe that young woman pictured on the right is really old enough to be married that long! *snort* I was a baby when I got married....yeah, that's the ticket. I was a baby, and my parents arranged it. What? You're not buying that bullsh cockamamie story? Well, it was worth a try. ;-)

It's amazing to me that I have spent well over half my life with this wonderful man. I remember the butterflies I had when we were planning to get married.... wondering if I was capable of being in a relationship for longer than two years (my previous experience); what if we ran out of things to talk about, what if we got tired of each other? I guess I know the answer to that now.

What I couldn't know then was how love can grow and deepen, and continue to grow, even after all those years. I am so blessed that we found each other. I am blessed to have someone to share life's adventures with, that we are so compatible (we rarely have disagreements, and never fight!), that his touch still thrills me, that he shows his love for me every day in a myriad of little ways, and that I am totally secure in his love. He is my best friend (not to be confused with my BFF Barb!).

Thank you, babe, for the first 34 years. I'm looking forward to the next 34!!!
